
A Melbourne woman who said she was "going to Ararat to visit a friend", has been caught breaching COVID-19 restrictions.
Victoria Police caught the woman travelling from Pakenham to Ballarat for a non-essential reason.
Police reported the incident - which occured in the past 24 hours - in today's enforcement statistics.
A total of 22 fines were issued to individuals for breaching the Chief Health Officer directions.
Nearly 34,000 vehicles were checked at vehicle checkpoints.
On Friday, only one new coronavirus case was reported in Victoria, with no further deaths.
There are currently three active cases in regional Victoria - all of which are in Shepparton.
