"Billy", an idly wandering pet goat, waltzed through the front door to say hello to staff and customers.
Horsham RSL general manager Tim Nurse said it was a "very random" greeting that brought a smile to the face of staff members.
"It was a good bit of entertainment for us - thankfully, it wasn't during our meal times," he said.
"We contacted the local law enforcement who collected it and gave it back to the owners later that night."

Mr Nurse said while it was a welcome visit, Billy did not have the appropriate identification to order an alcoholic beverage or to play the poker machines.
"A few people were looking at it and thinking it was a bit fresh to be on the menu too," Mr Nurse said.
