
A man allegedly "running late for work" may have a couple more issues facing him now, with police impounding his car after he was caught nearly 50km/h over the speed limit.
Around 7am on Thursday, police detected the 36-year-old travelling 149km/h in a 100km/h zone along the Henty Highway, near Warracknabeal.

The Moama resident allegedly told police he was speeding because he "was running late for work".

The incidents comes only days after a different man had his car impounded near Minyip, after he was found to be driving without a licence in an unregistered car.
Police intercepted the 45-year-old around 8:30pm on Friday, December 4 travelling along Stawell-Warracknabeal Road.
Both men will appear before court at a later date.
