SAM Cameron did not expect to gain such a high ATAR score let alone be Dux of his St Brigid's College 2020 Year 12 class.

"I was surprised. I didn't think I'd get that high," he said when he received his ATAR score of 90.75, one of only two students to get in the 90s for his year at St Brigid's.
Mr Cameron said he received a call from his school principal while he was at work.
Mr Gutteridge called while Mr Cameron was working at GrainCorp doing seasonal work for harvest.

Mr Cameron studied mathematics, English, media, visual communications and business management.
He hopes to get into the film and television studies course at Swinburne University.
"I'd like to work in movies. My favourite director is David Fincher. I like Lord of the Rings. Seven is my favourite David Fincher film," he said.
Mr Cameron said completing his year 12 studies during lockdown didn't bother him much.
"I work fairly well at home. My family let me do what I needed to do," he said.
Mr Cameron said he would do his school work and just relax to help balance life and school work.
He said the biggest hurdle was getting access to items for his media and visual communications classes.
Mr Cameron was able to celebrate a little when he went to Adelaide over New Years Eve with a couple of friends.
His advice for the class for 2021 is to "relax."
