Horsham export Mitch Creek has been stood down by his club and the NBL while police investigate charges of an alleged assault.

Victoria Police charged Creek - who is regarded as one of the nation's top basketballers - with a host of assault-related charges in relation to an alleged incident in Melbourne last year.
In a statement, South East Melbourne Phoenix said Creek denied the charges.
"The NBL and South East Melbourne Phoenix have held urgent discussions with the Australian Basketball Players' Association and Basketball Australia's Integrity Unit in respect of the allegations," the club said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The NBL and South East Melbourne Phoenix also understand that Mitch Creek denies each of the charges and will deal with the matter appropriately through the court process."
"The NBL, South East Melbourne Phoenix and Mitch Creek have all agreed that he will not train or play with the Club until further notice."
Creek is due to appear before court at a later date and both the club and NBL have said they will not comment anymore on the matter before then.
As captain, Creek recently guided the Phoenix to a second-place finish in the NBL Cup.
