Netball director Kate Crouch said despite the feelings of the unknown, players were just excited to be back on the courts and spending time together.
"We're not sure what the competition will be like but we've had a couple of players who have played in the district league before who are excited to head back that way and said we all should be too," she said.
"Generally the vibe among the players at the club is really positive.
OTHER NEWS:
"It will be a bit strange playing against people we've never played against. In the old league, we knew everyone by name whereas now we'll be meeting new faces and going to different towns.
"We've had a couple of players return to the sport after a couple of years break - it's good to have them back on board."
Kaniva-Leeor United won't be fielding a C Reserve side and an under-17 side for the 2021 season.
Crouch said it was disappointing the extra players weren't around to be able to field those sides but was looking forward to having a great season both on and off the court in the hope to recruit some more players.
"We don't have quite enough to field a C Res side or the ability to pull from the under-15," she said.
MORE HDFNL FOCUS:
"It's not ideal to not have that fourth side in the senior competitions so we have a few more players in the other teams but our motto was to get everyone back out there playing again.
"We'll just have to work around it. The players are just eager to get back out there and start playing."
Emma Hawker has stepped into the A Grade coaching role again - after accepting the position for the 2020 season which did not go ahead.
Hawker will be joined by sister Biddy and players Lauren Tink and Ellen Bennet who are key players for the team.
