Money is flowing in for the Horsham Rural City Council's water park.
The shovel-ready project received $2.1 million from round three of the Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus program.
The play park is a key asset in the City to River development.
Up the road, the West Wimmera Shire received $574,000 to upgrade the Kaniva Caravan Park under the Regional Infrastructure Fund stimulus round.
Workers will knock down the old amenities block and replace the site with male and female amenities, accessible toilet and shower, baby change facilities, laundry facilities and camp kitchen.
The Northern Grampians Shire received $2.1 million to build new netball courts at North Park, and the Ararat Rural City Shire received $2.55million to redevelop Gordon Street Recreation Reserve.
It is said the latter project will ensure the facilities will fully meet AFLW standards - hint hint.
Earlier this week, the State Government announced $9.1 million to establish an Aboriginal family violence refuge in Horsham.
This comes after years of advocacy work and lobbying by a determined group of women.
