Rising Horsham apprentice jockey Tatum Bull had a day to remember on Sunday, taking out the Tasmanian heat of the National Apprentice Race Series, for Victoria.

The National Apprentice Series is a collection of races between star apprentice jockeys who are selected to represent their states.
Heats are held throughout the country and different jockeys are selected for each race.
Bull who hails from Horsham, rode the Gary White trained Signal Hill to victory at Elwick on Sunday, ahead of Yarra Master in second.
The 21-year-old was pleased with the result, despite not having a perfect run.
"You always go over there thinking your in with a chance and you always go out there hoping to give the horse the best run possible," Bull said.

"I didn't have an ideal run but the horse was just too good in the end so it made my job easy.
"We were wide, but in these apprentice races they're actually quite tricky to ride, so you're almost better just leaving your horse alone and keeping its momentum.
"Because the more you interrupt the horse the worse it is really and at the end of the day I felt a winner a long way out and she provided the goods really."
The up-and-coming hoop is now focused on continuing to "ride consistently" as she chases bigger things.
"In the future hopefully it's not too far away, I'll be starting to kick off my career in town and and that is something I'm working pretty hard towards," Bull said.
After racing on Wednesday Bull is taking a "well earned break" from the sport for a bit of a "freshen up".
"Racing can be a pretty hard sport to be a part of, there's good days and bad days and it does get to you in the end and you always need a freshen up just to keep you mentally and physically strong," she said.
Despite needing a break Bull is adamant that racing is her true calling.

"(I'm) absolutely loving it, there's never a good time to take time off so when you need it you've got to take it," she said.
"I'm absolutely loving it and look I wouldn't be in the industry if it wasn't for the horses and how much I love them, so I am quite lucky I can do a job that I love."
