Mr McCormack made several announcements during his time in the area.
Along with Horsham Rural City Council mayor Robyn Gulline, Mr McCormack broke ground on the River to City project on Monday, May 17.

Joined by Federal Member for Mallee Dr Anne Webster, Mr McCormack announced the first project for the Roads of Strategic Importance initiative. Some $4million was pledged for the Stawell Road junction.

The Deputy PM was back the following morning with an event at the Horsham Showgrounds on Tuesday, May 18. He was greeted by school leaders for the Horsham West and Haven Primary School Haven campus.
Mr McCormack and his team travelled to Warracknabeal to ceremoniously begin the construction for the Woodbine Disability Centre upgrade.
