Given the Art Is... Festival 2021 was themed as Art Is... Unexpected Take-Two, it's rather fitting.
All activities until Thursday, June 3, are being postponed. The festival will be issuing a full refund for those with tickets.
The Poetry Slam event to be held on Wednesday, June 2, will be moved online. Galleries on the side will be postponed, as will Walk about watch artists make art.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Due to some difficulties re-organising, the projector bike tour will be rescheduled for later in the year.
There are some online activities while people lament in lockdown.
The entries for Art-is-Bald have been extended until 11.59pm, Wednesday, June 2; keen photographers can send in their images of portraits or landscapes.
A webinar is available for an at-home project for a solar garden. The tutorials demonstrates how to use an everyday item to create ethereal pieces of working art for the backyard. People are encouraged to send in photos of their creations.
To get a bit active, there is the Wimmera Dance Challenge. Tutorials are up online to learn the dance; once the dance is nailed, participants send in a video of themselves dancing, and the best dancers will win a prize.
At this stage, the Winter Warmer event planned for Saturday, June 5, will go ahead.
The Soundbath event will still run on Sunday, June 6, as will the Dinner at Baa.
