On Friday, June 4, regional Victoria saw an easing of a week-long set of circuit breaker COVID-19 restrictions.

Unlike Melbournians, who will have to endure another 7-days of lockdown, regional Victorians can leave the house for any reason and return to school, work and training.
Some restrictions still apply to regional Victoria - gyms and indoor physical recreation centres will remain shut, masks must be worn indoors, and visitors are not permitted to the home, except intimate partners.
The Wimmera Mail-Times asked members of the community if they thought the new rules were fair, and how they were feeling after a week of stage four lockdown.
Kerry Hamilton, Nhill
I think they (restrictions) are certainly necessary to ensure we remain healthy. As a mum I miss being able to hang out with other mums in an enclosed space. But I understand why.
Becky Barry, Kiata
I am happy to be able to come out on Saturday, have a coffee and meet up with a friend. Hopefully it is what needs to be done to get back to normal life again.
Janet Bahr, Horsham
I am feeling confident because Jesus is looking after me. That is how I feel.
Betty Smith, Horsham
Yes I think the restrictions are fair. We need to protect ourselves.
Kellie Ballinger, Horsham
We think it is fair. Protects our community and maybe encourages people to go out and get vaccinations. We definitely need more people in our community vaccinated.
Graham Dickerson, Horsham
It's all good I suppose. Anyway you can still go and do some shopping.
Rianna Valentine, Horsham
I am actually studying at the moment so most of my study is online. It has affected me not seeing most of my friends and family.
Tony Macka, Horsham
I'm not really fussed either way.
Patricia Hill, Edenhope
Angry. There is no need for the restrictions we have got here. We don't have any virus here, haven't had any for months. They also shouldn't have Melbourne locked down too. They are over-reacting and the restrictions don't make sense.
Emily Moore, Horsham
It is a lot better but I want the gym to be open. You can do some stuff but not go to the gym. Probably five people at your home as well.
Paul Paterson, Nhill
As a truck driver, the highway was a lot nicer when things were locked down. But good to see restrictions finally eased.
Madeline Ingram, Nhill
I get it and I understand why we did it, but I am glad we are coming out of lockdown now and it is not lasting months like last time.
Elsa Matthias, Horsham
I am really glad I can be outside here. I work at a hospital so I have to wear masks everyday anyway. So I like not having to wear one outside of work.
