Actionbound is an "Amazing Race" quiz scavenger hunt game that uses GPS technology to turn real-world locations into a game.
School holidays have provided the opportunity for students to try their hand at creating a scavenger hunt in Kaniva, with one team using the town's Sheep Art Trail.
Local gamer Tristan Pritchard said he assisted the test run during a two-day workshop.
"It was interesting to be part of designing the concept and it will be interesting to see how it goes," Tristan said.

Friends Leeroy Grant and Jack Borgelt created a fast-paced quiz trail in the town.
"It was good to get out and about whilst playing the game," Leeroy said.
"I enjoyed making a game that other people will play," Jack said.
All of the games created will follow the Sheep Art Trail, taking 30 - 45 minutes to complete.
Players will need to download the Actionbound app and select the nearby games.
Organisers hope to develop more games in the future.
OTHER NEWS:
The project was made possible as part of the KDPA Kaniva Konnection project that has been funded by the Federal Government's Stronger Communities Program.
Kaniva and District Progress Association's Helen Hobbs said the project had many benefits for the community.
"Not only is it fun, but it is informative and people learn things without realising it. The great thing about this is that it gets people out and about exploring their own towns."
