Finishing undefeated and heading into finals with a clear lead over competitors, Laharum sailed through their Round 12 match unscathed as they travelled to take on Kalkee.
It was all Laharum in the first, opening up an 11-lead at quarter time through accurate shooting from Maddi Iredell.
Another 18-goal second quarter to the Demons opened up the lead to a hefty 17 goals at the major break.
Extending their lead by three, to a total of 20 by three quarter time, saw the game wrapped up for the afternoon.
OTHER NEWS:
Final score, 62-36.
Demons' coach Erin Mellington said she felt the team was rusty, but the players were excited to be back out on the court.
"I think we are getting used to the stop starting of the season, which is sad in a way, but at the same time it is hard," she said.
"We could back quite well but I think we had a lull there in parts. We didn't play a full four quarters of a game which was expected.
"It's also our goal heading into training and finals. It's what we want to get back to achieving and playing at our best."
Mellington said it was great to get a game in before finals to help build that momentum.
Finishing top of the ladder, the Demons now face another week off which in a 'normal' season would come as a welcomed break.
Mellington said she was pleased the players were able to run out the four quarters given the circumstances of the back-half of the season.
"Our fitness level was really good," she said.
"We let ourselves down with a few passing mistakes down the court."
In other games across HDFNL on Saturday included a must win game for the Swifts over Pimpinio to keep their finals hopes alive.
The Baggies lead from early in the first and walked away with a 44-goal win.

All tied up at three-quarter time made for a tense final quarter where the Cougars got the edge over the home team and game away with a inspiring five-goal win.
Harrow-Balmoral were too strong for Jeparit-Rainbow - a 30-goal win went to the travelling team.
