The Southern Mallee Giants A Grade Netballers and Minyip-Murtoa's senior footballers both only lost the one game for the season in their competitions and were by far-and-away the best teams all year.
Despite that, it will be a case of what could have been for both sides, as they end the year with no silverware for their troubles.

Giants' A Grade coach Mikayla George was "disappointed" with the ending to the season.
"I'm sure everyone else is (disappointed) in the league," she said.
"It's never how you want all your hard work and dedication to preseason and the season to end.
"You really want to finish with premiers and reward someone for all their hard work.
"Two years in a row all leagues in Victoria I think probably in the long run it might take its toll I think unfortunately."
Although the Giants won't be given the chance to take home their first Wimmera netball premiership, George was still positive about her side having their best ever Wimmera netball season.
"That's what we were aspiring for this year, just to come out really hard and strong and be just as strong as the Giants football," she said.
"We just wanted to follow suit and ensure that the netball league knew we were there and ready to rumble and that we were really willing to develop and to press hard to win games that people probably thought we never had a chance of winning.
