COMMUNITY housing was raised as an issue in Yarriambiack in all communities in the area.
The Yarriambiack Shire Council moved towards more community housing in Rupanyup with a land transfer recommendation during the September 29 council meeting.

"There have been issues identified in relation to housing across the region and within our communities," she said.
"Some of the challenges include a minimal amount of suitable zone land for housing development, a shortage of housing for sale or rent, a shortage of affordable housing for downsizing, a shortage of domestic builders and a shortage of executive homes."
