Fortunately, there has been no community transmission as a result.
Residents are to be commended on their response to vaccination.
Our population is just over 6650 and 5500 of us are aged 15-year-old and older.
Figures released on October 17 indicate that over 95% of those 5500 residents have had one injection and 76.5% are double-dosed.

Health advice will still see physical distancing, indoor mask wearing and QR code check-ins remaining in place for some time forward.
On Tuesday 19 October Tennis Victoria conducted their annual awards evening via an on-line link. Yarriambiack Shire was joint winner, with Brimbank City, for the trophy in the category Supporting Tennis: Local Government.
The award recognised our commitment to upgrading the tennis/ netball courts at Brim, Beulah and Rupanyup.
These infrastructure projects are expected to be completed between December and next March. Our Sport and Recreation officer, Rebecca Botheras, accepted the award and praised the communities at Brim, Beulah and Rupanyup for putting these projects together so that government funding could be accessed.
Rebecca is also currently involved in the planning for priority infrastructure projects at Murtoa recreation reserve, Anzac Park redevelopment, improved skate park facilities throughout the shire and construction of pump tracks at three locations.
At a recent Council meeting, Councillors discussed the purchase of a glass crushing machine. It is expected the machine will service the needs of five neighbouring councils as well as Yarriambiack.
The State Government has set 1 July 2022 as the date when each Shire must implement a separate glass bin, removing bottles and glass containers from the yellow recycling bin.
The glass will be collected and taken to the transfer station at Warracknabeal where it will be crushed and the product stockpiled to supplement the base material used for road and footpath construction.
Council has submitted a $2.8 million grant application to the State Government's Big Build fund to assist with the construction of 14 affordable two-bedroom homes to be located at Woomelang, Hopetoun, Warracknabeal, Murtoa and Rupanyup.
Discussions with Homes Victoria are being currently being conducted to seek alternative ways of implementing the housing project should our application to Big Build be unsuccessful. The indications from these talks suggest that a positive outcome, one way or another, is not that far away.
Council will meet again on Wednesday 27 October. Hopefully this will be the last time we meet online. I look forward to a return to meeting in the chambers.
