The mural, which was commissioned by the Yurunga Homestead committee thanks to a Heritage Victoria grant, was completed by Rainbow artist Belinda Eckermann.
The artwork depicts a collage of turn-of-the-century life in the town, inspired by archived imagery from the early days of Rainbow.
Yurunga Homestead committee member Jenny Solly said the artwork has now been mounted to a shipping container, and will be available for the public to see.

The homestead had its official opening out of lockdown on Sunday.
"It looks great. It is on-site at Yurunga now," she said.
"All of the painting has been done. It still needs a protective coating on it. I think they call it an anti-graffiti coat. Belinda is planning to do that when she is finished with restoring muralis in the Rainbow township."
Work started on the mural in early July 2021 and was interrupted by intermittent lockdowns throughout the year.
Ms Solly said due to the weather, the committee had to borrow a shed from Rainbow farmers to complete the mural away from the rain.
The artwork was painted onto five metal sheets which were fixed to a metal frame and shipping container by Hindmarsh mayor and hardware store owner Ron Ismay.
The committee has plans to integrate an audio QR code guide to accompany the mural, working with Hindmarsh Shire on the project.
