Her love of flowers started at a young age when she worked for Mrs Campbell for a brief period of time.
Ms Boehm went on to raise six children in the Horsham area who are now adults and she was looking for something to do to keep herself busy.
"My house is clean - I don't have kids at home anymore so I needed to find something to do," she said.
"I would wake up some mornings and think I had nothing to do for the day and knew that wasn't a good headspace to be in.
"So I thought why not put something I love together with something that would make people happy."
And so the idea of Booms on a Budget was born.
Ms Boehm is determined to deliver the flowers by bike to cut down on delivery costs and to help keep herself fit.
OTHER NEWS:
"Some people have asked how can I ride with a sore leg," she said.
"I just said why not? If I don't keep going I think who's going to look after me so I better keep it strong and going."
Ms Boehm said she enjoyed putting bunches of natives together because it was something she could source locally.
"I've also got a arts and craft space and am happy to put together cards with heartfelt messages along with a bunch of flowers as well," she said.
"It's been tough for everyone the last few years. Just this week I'm going to take down some flowers to the nursing home to say thank you to the workers there."
How far will she deliver?
"I delivered a bunch out to Natimuk and back," she said.
"I set myself a challenge and didn't know if I could get that far but when I arrived back into Horsham I rode around a little because I was so close to the 50km mark.
"I ended up riding 52km that day. I did need a rest the next day but this is what it's all about. Keeping active while making someone's day with a bunch of flowers."
