Wimmera cricketers Lilly Reading (Stawell Strikers), Adelle Weidemann (Horsham Hurricanes) and Ava Clark (Wimmera Roos) were members of the side and all ply their trade in the Wimmera Girls Cricket League.

After a round one win over the Suns at Coughlin Park on January 5, the side played six games in Melbourne and Geelong from January 10-13.
The Waves finished the YPL with a record of four wins and three losses; winning matches against the Suns, Rivers, Falcons and Wizards and going down to the Rockets, Highlanders and Spirit.
All three Wimmera representatives made some noticeable contributions over the tournament.

The Waves were buoyed by the performances of Warrnambool star batter Lila Wilkinson who scored 338 YPL runs at an average of 84.5, to finish second overall in the competition's leading run-scorer charts.
A grand final took place between the Spirit (winners of the Renegades League) and Breakers (winners of the Stars League) on Friday at Junction Oval.
