Albrecht is a familiar face among the Wimmera footballing community, serving as Wimmera Football League chief commissioner from 2016-19.

Speaking to The Wimmera Mail-Times, the former chief commissioner said he was "looking forward" to leading the side on game day.
"We've had a couple of runs before Christmas and we've had a couple since," Albrecht said.
"It's a pretty enthusiastic group."
Albrecht is a Level Two AFL accredited coach and has vast coaching experience, including coaching Kaniva-Leeor's seniors and the Wimmera Football League Under 18s.
He has also previously been assistant coach of the Tigers' seniors and coached the club's Under 17s side for five years.
The former Kaniva-Leeor coach already likes what he's seen from his new side.
"I saw them (Nhill) last year because I wasn't on the commission last year," Albrecht said.
"The thing that I liked, Jaye Macumber's legacy, was he got rid of all their travelling paid players. Like non-locals.
"And he wanted to give some of these fringe lads or younger up and coming lads games earlier than what they would probably normally get."
In the 2021 season, the side benefitted from its youth, with young players like Jarryd Dahlenburg, Drew Schneider and Matt Kennedy impressing in their first full year of senior football.
Albrecht believes that blooding the younger generation will hold the club in good stead in the future.
"We just need to get more games into a lot of those kids that have only got under ten games," he said.
"We probably have ten or 12 lads that have got under ten games under their belt.
"Then we've got another crop coming through this year from the under 17s, there are three or four ripping kids. It's quite encouraging."
After not registering a win in the shortened 2021 season, Albrecht is practical in his goals for the side and wants to make them "more competitive".
He has already bolstered his coaching staff by adding former Hawthorn development and Vic Metro Under 18 coach David Flood to his panel.
Flood played 58 games for Essendon between 1986 and 1995 and is originally from Nhill.
"He's a ripping bloke for coming home and helping me, he comes up here and he just wants to help all the time," Albrecht said.
"I've officially got him on board as an assistant, and he's reviewing all last year's games at the moment.
"I've had three meetings with him over coffee already. He loves the young local group, and that's what he's all about.
MORE NEWS:
"He'll probably come up, and we might have a weekend session probably through February or in March, and he'll come up for that. And I'd say he'll be available for roughly half of the Saturday day games.
"It brings more to not only the club but to the league."
Nhill will play their first game of the 2022 season against the Horsham Demons on Saturday, April 9.
