Of the new cases, 6110 were rapid-antigen test results and 4479 were PCR tests. There were 25,172 completed on Saturday.
Overnight, there were also 20 coronavirus-related deaths.
Despite the new cases, Victoria's active number of coronavirus cases dropped to 78,294.
On Australia Day there was 139,562 active cases. That number has steadily decreased all week.

Currently, there are 889 people in hospital with coronavirus including 111 in intensive care and 35 on ventilators.
There were 23,863 vaccinations administered on Saturday with 38 per cent of people aged over 18 having had three doses.
On Saturday, COVID-19 response commander Jeroen Weimar said Victoria's testing system had returned to its usual efficiency.
"Just on 94 per cent of (PCR) results were back the next day," he said. "So we are back to having a fast testing system and I would encourage people to keep the testing going."
