About 60 students will grace Wesley Performing Arts Centre stage to bring the production Seussical to life.
Production manager Janine Kemp said a lot of work went into preparing the show for tonight's opening.
She said students would have onstage and backstage roles.
"With all the students on stage plus the ones out the back there would probably be about 70 or 80 students involved all-together," she said.
She said Seussical was a musical based on the books of Dr Seuss.
Students auditioned for their roles and have rehearsed for months in preparation.
Mrs Kemp said year 10 student Zach Schmidt had a main role of Cat in the Hat.
She said year seven student Jed Prouse would play Jojo.
Year 12 student Will Weiser will play Horton the Elephant, while Zach's younger sister Paige, year eight, will play Mayzie La Bird.
Year eight Rebecca Wik, year 12 Ash Almond and year nine Jenny van Veldhuisen will also star as Gertrude McFuzz, Yertle the Turtle and the Sour Kangaroo.
Mrs Kemp said year nine student Jake McConville would play the Mayor of Whoville. Year nine student Maddi Ostapiw will play the mayor's wife.
All characters feature in Dr Seuss books.
Mrs Kemp said tickets were selling fast for the three performances, tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.
She said people could call St Brigid's College on 5382 3545 to find out more.
