Horsham store manager Suzanne Puls said the staff had set a goal of 1000 presents for the annual Christmas wishing tree appeal.
The store collected 998 presents for Christmas in 2015.
“We had more than 1200 presents come in, which were toys or gifts for children of all ages,” she said.
“They’ll be donated to the Salvation Army.
“We would really like to thank the community for its support.”
Ms Puls said a group of schools from around the Wimmera helped by pooling their money all year.
“Then they came in a bought a heap of presents for the wishing tree,” she said.
Across Australia, 342,997 presents were donated during this year’s appeal, to be distributed by the Salvos and Mission Australia.
