Ella had her hair cut after spending eight weeks raising more than $4000 for children with cancer and illness.
Ella’s family and friends gathered at Sassi Beauty Bar in Horsham to support her as Kara Dingwall cut Ella’s long locks.
While there were a few tears, everyone said they were proud of Ella and her efforts.
Ella said she was grateful for the community support she received.
“I set out to raise $1600 and I never imagined I would raise more than that,” she said. Ella said her initial target would allow her to make one wig, but having exceeded her goal she would be able to get two wigs made.
She said she used her website and Facebook to raise money, and also made keyrings to sell.
“I also got a lot of support from community groups such as Horsham Saints and Bella Madre Photography,” she said.
“Sassi Beauty Bar also donated the venue and Kara to give me a haircut.”
Ella said people could still make donations at https://give.everydayhero.com/au/ella-officer-hairwithheart before the end of Sunday.
