Festival chairwoman Di Bell said the festivities on Firebrace Street will kick off the three-day program.
Ms Bell said the focus has shifted to become a more “inclusive” festival this year. She said the committee hopes to create an “engaging” atmosphere by increasing the number of interactive stalls and activities at the street party.
She said a bubble show will be the drawcard at the Friday night festivities.
“We have a superhero theme for all the children who would like to dress up and roaming acts including clowns, magicians and lots of mascots,” she said.
The second day will start “bright and early" with a collaboration between the festival and the Wimmera River parkrun.
Ms Bell said the central business district will have a market atmosphere with busking and plenty more entertainment organised for Saturday. She said more action will be down at Sawyer Park including skiing and a twilight festival.
“There will be the duck race, singing and music and a variety of foods and activities before winding up with fireworks after dark,” she said.
“We tried to bring this back last year at noon, but from the feedback we received we decide to shift it to twilight.”
Ms Bell said the festivities will “wind down” on the last day of Kannamaroo. She said there will be an open air family movie at the soundshell.
