“We will be blooding some under-17s and rewarding some guys for putting in some good work in the reserves,” he said.
“There will be some changes, but I’m confident the side we put out will be very competitive.
“We are taking the opportunity to give the Darwin boys a week off from travelling, so they stay fresh.”
The Demons are still waiting on the fitness of a few players, including ruckman Liam Nuske, who injured his calf in the warm-up for last week’s defeat at the hands of Jeparit-Rainbow.
“We still have a couple players who need to do a fitness test,” Miller said.
“Losng Nuske in the pre-game warm-up last week wasn’t ideal. He will be a test for this week.”
Miller said he expected Pimpinio to be aggressive in Laharum’s first home game of the season.
“I’m expecting them to take the game on,” he said.
“We will have to play smart, and we are just starting to play the brand of football we want to play.
“We had huge improvement last week since the first game against Kalkee, and we will keep practising and can hopefully play four quarters of solid and consistent football.”
Miller said the club was looking forward to hosting its first Horsham District game of the new season.
“We are looking forward to playing on our home deck after two away games and the bye,” he said.
