On Friday, Man in the Corner reported how some colleagues had discussed options for a ‘big’ attraction for Horsham.
This came after online travel website Wotif announced its Next Big Thing competition, which will allow people to vote for a new tourist attraction that will join the likes of the Big Banana and our very own Giant Koala.
Among the suggestions for the Wimmera were a big wheat structure, a big stubby and a giant magpie.
There was also talk of a giant bunch of grapes in Great Western, a big athlete or big nugget for Stawell, a giant kangaroo and emu in Halls Gap, a big duck in Nhill, and a giant statue of former Warracknabeal now Adelaide Crows footballer Kyle Cheney.
Other suggestions took a different angle, such as a ‘big drop’ in rates, a big railway station continuing from Ballarat, and a Big Smooth Road.
What ‘big’ thing would get your vote?
