HORSHAM’S Firebrace Street was alive with the smell of food, the sound of music and the thrill of festivities for the opening of the 2018 Kannamaroo Festival on Friday night.

The annual street parade featured something for everyone, including rides and attractions for children of all ages.
One of the highlights of the event was the bubble show, which filled the audience with pure joy.
Entertainment was provided by acts such as the Horsham Rockers, Horsham Pipe Band and Voices of Wimmera.
Day two of the festival will start with a collaboration between the festival and the Wimmera River parkrun.
At 1.30pm, the Youth CAN Amazing Race will be held, followed by the Duck Race at 4pm.
Fireworks will close the day at Sawyer Park, with music and activities throughout the evening.
Sunday will kick off with skiing on the Wimmera River from 11am, then a pool party will be held at the Horsham Aquatic Centre between 12pm and 3pm.
The festival will wrap with an outdoor movie at 5.30pm held at the Horsham soundshell.
