Horsham basketball star Jeremiah McKenzie has achieved a life-long dream, signing to play basketball with a college in the United States of America.
McKenzie signed with the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, a college with a division II National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball side.
He will travel to Colorado in August to join the Mountain Lions basketball program, and will also study sports business management.
McKenzie said he was thrilled to be heading overseas. He said Colorado felt like the right fit after touring the university in December.
"It's been a dream of mine since I was young to play basketball over in the states," he said. "After the tour I had a few weeks to think about it with my parents, and thought it would be the best fit.
"I think the level of competition is really good, and hearing about all the other players that went through that division and have been successful.
"I'm pretty excited, a bit nervous as well, but I've got a fair bit of time to think about it and get ready for the move."

Horsham Basketball Association president Owen Hughan said it was a case of McKenzie's hard work paying off.
"There aren't many that have done this from our association - Aaron Bruce, Shane McDonald and Chloe Bibby, I think that might be it," Mr Hughan said. "So we're really proud of him.
"Jezza has made rapid improvements, and it hasn't always come easy to him.
"He had a late growth spurt, so he was always a smaller player, but he worked very hard. He's got a terrific work ethic.
McKenzie said he was thankful for the support of everyone that had contributed to his pathway.
Mr Hughan believed McKenzie had a bright future ahead of him.
"It's going to be a great experience for him, going to another country and experiencing another people and culture," Mr Hughan said.
"Sometimes it doesn't work out (on the court), but it's a great opportunity.
"I have no fear he'll enjoy it, but I think he'll go very well too, and if all goes well, he could end up being something really special."
