However, due to restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic the club was forced to withdraw its entries in both the senior and junior competitions.
BDSA boss Herman Bogers said the club would sets its sights on the 2021 season.
"They were only just coming back into the fold but the virus has made things a bit difficult," he said.
"It's not a big area for recruitment but they were looking quite good this year as far as numbers went," he said.
"They are continuing to grow and that's a good thing."
The club hoped to flex its muscle in the top grade, having won the men's division two championship 2018. It was the club's first senior title.
Horsham is the second club to withdraw from the season, following Maryborough's decision to pull the pin due to the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
