Armed with cans of spray paint, the artist is creating a new mural on the side of business Angels Oriental Massage.
Pancho Dzindzeski, a worker at the parlour, said owner Raymond Go had the idea to put a mural on the wall after seeing other art displays in Horsham and Mildura, where he also has stores.
"The wall was very blank, so he decided to give something back to the community," Mr Dzindzeski said.
"It's sort of based on the Grampians and Pink Lake, a surrounding area theme, and there there will be the Asian ladies for the oriental."
The artwork is being created by Melbourne artist Marc Eggleton.
Mr Eggleton said he was in town two weeks after getting a message from the buildings owner, and had gotten the necessary approvals from the council and Victoria Police prior to coming to Horsham.
"I was worried about leaving Melbourne, but I checked and it (work) is one of the reasons you're allowed to leave," he said.
He said he hoped to have finished the mural by Friday.
"I've been doing art for about four years and I've done six or seven murals in Melbourne," he said. "This is a great spot as well, in the centre of town, it will get me and these guys a lot of attention. Even the people are walking past are saying it's much better than the yellow wall that was there before.
"I might like to be part of the Silo Art Trail one day, but that's a bit of a way off."
