The Wimmera Health Care Group will close its drive-through coronavirus testing centre in Horsham on Thursday August 20, as demand continues to drop.
On Wednesday, a spokesman said the number of people tested at the corner facility on Read and Arnott Streets over Saturday and Sunday was 58.
"There were 106 the weekend before," he said.
"From Friday, we will be back to a walk-in testing clinic."
The spokesman said the drop was possibly due to masks becoming mandatory across Victoria since testing began, meaning there was less chance of the virus spreading in the community.
He said the flu season could also have played a part in the number of people getting tested initially.
When it opened, the healthcare group said the drive-through testing site aimed to test up to 400 people every day.
