A Melbourne-based woman found illegally in Horsham has been fined by police.
Police say the woman, who said she resides in Chirnside Park in Melbourne's outer north-east, did not have a valid reason to be in the area.
The only reason someone is allowed to leave Melbourne's lockdown to be in regional Victoria is for essential work, medical care, or care giving, according to the DHHS website.
Both the Horsham Police and Victoria Police media said they were unable to give more details about the incident.
The incident was detailed in daily statistics released by Victoria Police.
The woman was one of 84 fines issues across Victoria in the last 24 hours for individuals breaching COVID-related directions.
