
A piece of Australian sporting history was proudly on display at Great Western today, with the Melbourne Cup visiting Seppelt Wines as part of this year's Melbourne Cup Tour.
A special luncheon took place on the vineyard's picturesque lawns before the Cup arrived after 2pm.
After visiting Great Western, the cup will continue to travel up the highway to the next stop on the tour, Horsham.

The Cup will visit Horsham West Primary School and Wimmera Base Hospital, before sitting trackside for Sunday's Horsham Cup.
As part of the Melbourne Cup Tour, Great Western CFA will be allocated a barrier for this year's race and chance to win $50,000 for a community initiative.
Should Great Western's horse win, the funds will go toward purchasing a community-supported tanker for the CFA.
