LIVE music in venues and re-opening of food courts have received a tick of approval after regional Victoria takes more steps to reopening under coronavirus restrictions.
From Wednesday, live music is permitted outdoors only in hospitality venues with band members included in venue limit.
All members must be at least two metres apart and wear a face mask - singers exempt.
Food courts can open, but density rules will apply.
A maximum of two people per table is allowed and the venue is limited to the lesser of 25 per cent of a venue's fixed seating capacity or a density quotient of one person per eight square metres.
The re-opening would be subject to regular cleaning and taking of names.
Outdoor areas of a food court can have a maximum of 50 diners per area, group limit of 10, each area separated by 10 metres from the next with a maximum of 4 areas (200 people)
Member for Ripon Louise Staley said the rules for food courts were unworkable.
"It will result in more uncertainty and confusion for both workers and partrons," she said.
"It's nonsensical a group of 10 can go to a restaurant and dine together but are prevented from a casual dining setting in a food court.
"Families will be limited. They can't sit down and have lunch in a food court - their only options would be to go to a restaurant."
