
The Hindmarsh Shire Council for the 2020-24 term were formally announced by the Victorian Electoral Commission on Monday night.
VEC announced Ron Ismay and Brett Anthony Ireland as successful candidates for the North Ward. Mr Ismay had 53.71 per cent of the first preference vote.
Melanie Albrecht and Rob Gersch were the successful candidates for the West Ward.
Ms Albrecht received 51.91 per cent of the first preference vote and Mr Gersch had 24.47 per cent, which was closely followed by Wendy Bywaters who received 23.62 per cent.
Debra Nelson was elected as councillor for the East Ward.
The East Ward seat had only one nomination for the two vacancies.Therefore, the vacant seat will be determined at a by-election in November.
