The state government's Working for Victoria crews are hoping to recruit five more staff in the Wimmera to complete land management projects.
The Wimmera Catchment Management Authority's Working for Victoria Team have undertaken weed spraying, pest animal control, fencing and wildlife monitoring.
Wimmera CMA chief executive David Brennan said the program had provided invaluable employment for local people during a challenging year.

The full-time positions, which start in December, are for three months and available to anyone living in the Wimmera catchment.
"Working for Victoria has enabled us to complete a range of community projects that are usually done through volunteers and community events," Mr Brennan said.
"We still have priority projects to complete and are hoping we can recruit several more people to be part of the program."
Crew member Daniel Gibson said he was grateful to receive a position in June after relocating his family to the Wimmera for a new job that was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"I have never worked in the natural resources industry and I've really enjoyed the new experiences of pulling fences out and building new fences at revegetation sites and a mixture of weed and pest animal control," Mr Gibson said.
