Would you like to have your voice heard on council decisions? Horsham City Council is looking for community input toward its new engagement policy.
Horsham City Council Director of Corporate Services, Graeme Harrison, said community engagement is vital to informing how Council operates.
"One of the big changes we are working on is a new way to engage the community to shape the future of Horsham," Mr Harrison said.
The first step is a new Community Engagement Policy to make it easier for everyone to participate in important conversations and provide input into big decisions about our community.

"We'd really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and let us know if you think we've got it right. While we understand that a policy isn't the most exciting thing to have your say on, it is going to shape how we work together to develop a vision and plan for the future of Horsham."
Community engagement policies are required by all councils under the Local Government Act 2020. The policy ensures that the council effectively consults with the community on decisions and outlines expectations for council's engagement practice.
Engagement policy rework comes after performance data from the annual Know Your Council survey showed community satisfaction with council decisions in Horsham was markedly lower than comparable councils.
