The neighbourhood house committee came up with the idea at the start of 2021, after reflecting on the year that was 2020.
LINK Neighbourhood House coordinator, Sharon Munn said the group is looking for items that are pertinent to the 2020 experience.
"As part of when we were doing remote learning we were able to send out postcards to some of the older people, so we are hoping for something like that," Ms Munn said.
"We will put in a snapshot of what 2020 was like from LINK's point of view and some of the things that we did while we were in lockdown."

LINK urges the community to use their imagination, and donate items that relate to 2020 in a number of ways.
"We are hoping that someone maybe might write us something about what the year was like for them. Personal stories; we are hoping for those types of things," Ms Munn said.
"Possibly some photos and those types of things. We are hoping that the community uses their imagination to give us some interesting things."
The project aims to preserve the history of 2020, which LINK said was an unprecedented year in many aspects.
"No one expected at the start of 2020 that any of that would happen. Everyone was planning at the start of last year to pretty much do the same thing as what they were doing every other year, and no one could," Ms Munn said.
"The kids that aren't born now, in ten years time when we open it and tell them about it they will be pretty blown away."
Items donated to the time capsule must be A4 in size. For more information call LINK on 53922865.
