Miniature Railway President David McDonald said he is pleased to see the 20-year-old attraction is back on the tourist trail.
"Through the pandemic, we had to stop because the restrictions were too difficult. Social distancing with the carriages, everybody is normally cramped on the carriages," he said.
"It's a good trip, there are about 1.1km of track. The ride takes about five minutes."
The railway has recently undergone upgrades, with an extra 80 metres of track added and new paving.

The Sawyer Park Miniature Railway has five trains in total, two of which are owned by the club and three that are owned privately.
Mr McDonald has served as the Miniature Railway Club President for three years and has been a club member for ten.
He said he has always had an interest in trains and enjoys sharing his hobby with the community.
"I have always liked trains, bigger trains are a lot easier than smaller trains. When they are bigger there is more leeway for error," he said.
"It's just good. Good to do something. You get all the kids here, and they see the steam train, and they love it.
"I have kids myself and they used to love it when they were little. They are older now so they don't worry about trains anymore, but they'll have kids when they are older and their kids will love the trains."
Last year was tough for the Miniature Railway Club, having to try and work around restrictions.
"There were times where we could have run. We probably could have in January and February but it was really hot," he said.
"If it is going to be a cool Sunday, people are going to mind coming out and wearing a mask, but if it is 40 degrees, I don't think people will come out anyway.
"There's a lot of work that needs to be done. Through the stage three lockdown we weren't even allowed to have working bees. So we couldn't work on the track extension or paving. The only thing that we were allowed to do was to mow the lawn."
Mr McDonald said he looks forward to the reopening in March.
"Come down on March 7 and have a train ride. If we are busy be patient."
