A hotdog dinner was a fitting way to finish what was a successful program for the young players.
The program is aimed at giving young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey.
Launa Schilling who runs the sessions said the program "has been an exciting time for Horsham Hockey Club".
"We had 42 participants registered for the program; learning the basic skills of hockey, having fun and connecting with others," Schilling said.

The next step for the budding hockey players is the is the Stick2Hockey program.
"The Stick2Hockey program gives the participants an opportunity to further develop their skills and to put what they have learnt into game situation," Schilling said.
"It is also an opportunity for returning players from 2019 and 2020 to re connect with our club and enjoy the game of hockey.
"Our Black Hawks Team also plays in our Association Competition."
The Stick2Hockey program is for ages 5-12 and starts next Wednesday at 4:45pm (4.30 for COVID 19 check-in) at Community Oval, Dimboola Rd. You can register on the Horsham Hockey Club website.
