Update Wednesday 8.45pm: Horsham SES crews have received five requests for assistance, as the wild wind has brought even more trees down across the Wimmera.
State emergency service spokesman Matt Gallant said two of the callouts related to building damage, including a house on Francis Street in Horsham North where iron sheeting came loose from a roof.
"We are also responding to three trees down on the Henty Highway through Cavendish," he said.
In Dimboola, a tree is down over the Western Highway at the intersection with Old Minyip Road, while in the town centre police are responding to powerlines leaning over at the intersection of Wimmera and Victoria Streets.
Stawell Police acting sergeant Brian Anderson said officers had just headed out to a tree down across Stawell-Warracknabeal Road through Glenorchy.
Trees are also down on Ararat's Port Fairy Road, Ararat-Halls Gap Road through Cathcart, the Pyrenees Highway and on Ampitheatre Road through Chute and Raglan.
Rainfall-wise Horsham received 5.6 milimetres in just 49 minutes after 7pm, while Kangulk has received 12.8 since 5pm and Nhill 13.8.
Earlier: There are no reports of injuries after a tree hit a house in Nhill on Wednesday night.
State emergency service spokesman Matt Gallant said the town's unit was called to a single story home int the centre of town at 7.20pm.
"No one was hurt when the tree hit the roof, that job is still active," he said.
"Crews were also called to a tree over the road five kilometres out of Edenhope at 6.30, and that job is still active as well. We are working to cut the 12 metre long tree off the Wimmera Highway."
Mr Gallant said trees had also come down onto power lines at Douglas and were blocking roads in Dergholm State Park.
Horsham SES Unit has also just received requests for assistance on Riverside East Road and Gleed Street, while a tree remains down on the Wimmera Highway at Vectis.
