A man has faced court after a car crash that closed Horsham's Edith Street to traffic for several hours on Tuesday.
A four wheel drive collided with a power pole just after 2pm, bringing powerlines down across the road. Powercor restored electricity to 200 customers by 6.30pm. An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were not called to the scene.
Horsham Police Detective Sergeant Duane Hagger said the 40-year-old male driver was charged with two counts of burglary and one of theft following the incident.
"He's also been interviewed for driving offences, which he may be charged with at a later date," he said.
"He presented to court on Wednesday, where he was further remanded in custody until August 24," he said.
