'I'm going to kick your head off': Woman accused of chilling threats

The woman - who the Ararat Advertiser has chosen not to name to protect the victim's identity - appeared at Ararat Magistrates' Court charged with making threats to harm, theft, and breaching an intervention order. She did not enter a plea.

It's alleged the woman visited the victim's home multiple times in a month and yelled at them from outside the property.

Police told the court the accused was prohibited from contacting the victim when she delivered the first bout of abuse.

"F**k off, get f***ed. Go eat some sausage rolls you fat ****," she's alleged to have yelled.

A week later, police said the victim could hear yelling from outside the front of the house.

"The victim went to a front room of the house where she could see the accused yelling from the front of the property," the police informant said.

Police allege the woman then took mail from the victim's letterbox and threw it around the front of the property.

In a separate incident, the woman allegedly used a stolen bank card to fund a visit to KFC.

The court was told the alleged credit card victim was different to the alleged violent threats victim.

"The victim attended a party with friends. At 1pm she transferred $100 to her friend. At 6pm she tried to transfer more money to friends, but it failed," the police informant said.

"(The victim) checked her account and found a number of unauthorised transactions."

The informant told the court that security camera footage showed the accused using the bank card.

"She entered KFC and ordered three chicken burgers using the victim's card," he said.

Later that month, it's alleged the woman returned to the home of the person under the intervention order where she again yelled violent threats.

"I'm going to kick your head off *****, don't call the police," she allegedly said.

Police said the threats had left the victim in an extreme state of fear.

"(The victim) is currently living in fear and she is scared to leave her house. Currently, (the victim's) mother is collecting her mail," the informant said.

Magistrate Simon Zebrowski asked the women why she should be granted bail.

"On the behalf that I'm sorry and I'm trying. I'll stay out of trouble," she replied.

The woman was remanded in custody and will re-appear at court at a later date.
