It's a fitting end to a block of fixtures that have dealt with temperamental weather and the usual summer "unavailability" of players to delivery high-quality competition.

Here's what's on offer for spectators in the final round: Homers take on Rup-Minyip at 6:30pm on Friday at City Oval, Horsham Saints host West Wimmera at 4pm on Saturday, before Jung Tigers meet Noradjuha-Toolondo at City Oval 6pm later that day.
So what does your team need to go its way? Let's dive in fixture-by-fixture.
JUNG TIGERS v NORADJUHA-TOOLONDO
Jung Tigers remain unbeaten in Twenty20 fixtures this season, and it's that faultless record that has prevented the side from the most headache-inducing journey to the grand final.
If the Jung Tigers win, they will finish on top of the table - six points clear of whoever may sidle into second place.
If Jung Tigers and Homers both win, the two sides will meet in the grand final.
The worst-case scenario for the Tigers is a loss that couples with a Homers win which would see Jung Tigers, Noradjuha-Toolondo and Homers all finish level on 18 points.
Put bluntly Noradjuha-Toolondo needs to win to stay in the picture.
Should the Bullants win, they'll be praying for a Homers loss - setting up a grand final date for the victors and the Jung Tigers.
If the Bullants win and Homers win as well, the two sides will finish level on points with the Jung Tigers.
If that's the case, plenty of calculators will be dusted off to work out who claims the top two spots on percentage.
HOMERS v RUP-MINYIP
Homers currently share 12 points with Noradjuha-Toolondo, meaning like their fellow powerhouse they need to win for a chance to go directly to the grand final.
A win on Friday, followed by Jung Tigers triumph the following night, would be the perfect scenario for the Pigeons.
If that eventuates, preparations can start for a Homers, Jung Tigers final.
If Homers win and Jung Tigers lose, the two sides and Noradjuha-Toolondo will only be separated by percentage.
A Rup-Minyip win would undoubtedly make matters interesting. The Blue Panthers need six points to bridge the gap with a finals place and send the ladder into a spin.
MAKING NEWS TODAY:
If Rup-Minyip win and the Jung Tigers lose, then the Tigers will meet Noradjuha-Toolondo in the grand final.
Should Rup-Minyip win and the Jung Tigers win, the former's fate rests on the result of the Coughlin Park clash.
A Rup-Minyip win paired with wins to both West Wimmera and the Jung Tigers would see Noradjuha-Toolondo, Homers, Rup-Minyip and West Wimmera finish level on 12 points.
If Rup-Minyip and Jung Tigers pull their weight and win, but West Wimmera loses, the Blue Panthers will finish on par with Noradjuha-Toolondo and Homers.
HORSHAM SAINTS v WEST WIMMERA
A win wouldn't send the Saints close to the final, though it would provide an overdue boost for a young side that is yet to taste success this season.
Saints triumph would also end West Wimmera's hopes of a late grand final charge.
Only if West Wimmera wins and Rup-Minyip and Jung Tigers reign supreme in their matches do the Warriors stand a chance of making the final.
The result would bring the side level with Rup-Minyip, Noradjuha-Toolondo, and Homers.
While uncertainty might be the order of the round, what's ffor sure is that there'll be plenty of interest around the grounds this weekend.
