The repairs were made possible via the Living Heritage grant program, which provides funding to restoration works on heritage sites.
Yurunga Homestead said they plan to apply for the next round of Living Heritage funding for further improvements.
Yurunga Historic Homestead committee chairwoman, Jennifer Solly, said the grants, which were acquired through Hindmarsh council, have addressed critical issues facing the homestead.
"The north verandah was derelict for the past couple of years, so it was a priority of the Council and our committee to have it repaired," Mrs Solly said.

"Yurunga means "Place of beautiful view" and the best way for our visitor to appreciate that view is to walk out the front door, around the corner and along the whole length of the verandah."
The homestead committee was approved for the Living Heritage grant in September 2019. The verandah repair works commenced at the start of COVID-19 lockdown and were fully finished by April 2020.
With the funding the Yurunga committee have hired a heritage consultant from Bendigo.
"When visitors walk around the verandah they really get an impression of the size of the house," Mrs Solly said.
"It's just so wonderful to have the house complete again, and we are very grateful to Heritage Victoria for the funds."
Applications have opened for the next round of funding under the $60 million Living Heritage program.
The Living Heritage program was founded six years ago and provides funding for repair and restoration works to Victorian heritage landmarks.
Since it's inception the program has funded over 145 projects across Victoria, including repairs to the Yurunga Historic Homestead's verandah.
Applications for the latest round of heritage funding will open on February 17, with grants ranging from $20,000 to $200,000 available.
