The planning group will help program a range of events and activities for older people to enjoy during the week-long celebration in October.
Seniors Festival week was created by the Department of Health and Human Services and encourages older people to get out and participate in free and low-cost activities across Victoria.
The initiative aims to recognise the contribution people over the age of 50 make to society.
Mayor Robyn Gulline encouraged anyone wishing to contribute to putting their hand up to join the planning group.
